What Date was Grandfather Born?

Digging through the files and checking here and there, I found nothing exciting happening but the fact my ancestor was born on a Saturday, and he survived. Many of his siblings did not.  He had only two living siblings. An older brother and a older sister, with the sister marrying his wife's brother down the road.

He was born 9 May 1891 Moravia, Ia to Franklin Cornelius Hoffman and Samantha Abigail Duvall. This was a Saturday.

The world seemed very quiet at the time he was born. No Famous People, no famous event but he survived.  For his family that itself was a major event.

   I was born on this day.  

Grandad Carl Fremont Jones was born 10 October 1887 on a Monday. He was also the last living born child of his family. He had older brothers and 1 sister. He was also born in Iowa and somewhere near Nashua area. 

Grandad we are glad you and your brother were not killed in that crazy horse and buggy and horse race to the house. We are sad your brother ended up with a broken back. You both survived and had families. Thank you to you both.
