This comes from MyHeritage.com

It lists a mother Janet Boyd,    ???? I have looked for years for her parentage. I have scoured  a good share of Fayette and Greene Co. PA.

DOES anyone have any proof or records to verify any of this. I have her children and husband's family.
Many years and we found Jane Patterson Duvall's parentage.

WHO is Elizabeth's parentage? Is this part of Matthew Ritchie's line from Fayette Co. PA?

I descend from Robert Duvall of above Elizabeth Ritchie Duvall and Harriet Duvall dau of Jacob and Jane Patterson Duvall.

Another Cross Over R I P Charles Faber, Mary Hoffman's descendant.

Hoffman/Huffman news--------  I am sharing with you.

Long ago my Mom had a relative she would hear from at times.  As I was helping her with her research I was able to learn a bit about our family.  This cousin exchanged mail with Mom.

Henry Hoffman and Elizabeth Higgins Hoffman had several children, one Sanford Hoffman married , served in the Civil War, came home and moved to Iowa. Taking wife and children and a sister and her family with him. Very probably others at this time unknown. It was a wagon train because Great Grandfather shared his experiences with the family.

Sanford and Rachel Plants Hoffman's younger daughter, Mary Hannah Hoffman married Andrew C. Faber. Mother remembers this family of course because this is the family she wrote to .

Federal census
They had  several children: Reuben S, 15 in 1910 census, Richard A is 9, Lucy M is 3.
in 1920 is shows:  Richard is 19 and Lucy is 13.
in 1930 only Andrew and Mary are living at home.

State Census shows 1 Jan 1925
Andrew 59 Mary H 55 and Lucy M is 18.
The great news is: Nicholes Faber is shown as Father born in Germany and Mother is Annie M Anderson born in Illinois. Marriage was in Ill.

In 1930 the daughter Lucy Faber is  living with family  O  D Duvall . She has become a School Teacher.  When she and  Mom first writing I have no idea. Nor do I know what happened to the  letters Mom had in a shoe box from her.

Her brother Richard C. Faber, mar 30 Aug 1922 Wayne, IA, he married Inez McAlister
1940 United States Federal Census - Ancestry.com
Shows Richard A., Inez M, Vaughn B 15, Charles F 13, R Bruce 7, and Irvin E 6.

Advance several years and Mom asks me to write to Lucy and she puts me in touch with Vaughn.
I recall someone saying Lucy was not well. When in this I am not sure.  I accidently left a box of genealogy at my Moms when they cleared home, it got moved and we forgot to pick it up.No Idea if my brother has it or not.
I then wrote to Vaughn for a long time and called and we chatted many times.  We both have a daughter named Candy, Candance. His children looks like some of mine.  He got busy with farm and hauling grain? and I went back to work so have lost touch. I need to reconnect with him.
Where did the time go?

******
Charles was Vaughn's younger brother.  He worked with me on the Higgin's line of the  family and a couple of other lines.
Learning yesterday morning that Charles has passed over and is no longer in discomfort. He was a marvelous cousin and shared so much. He will be truly missed.

Having used FACEBOOK for genealogical work I was able to locate his daughter a few years back and we keep in touch.

Mindy his daughter wrote an awesome  Obituary.

This Morning, Life Changed, Kenneth D. Foulk

This morning  6 August 2016 early, receiving a call from my cousin Silvia, the day began. I was catching up on my Facebook reading, since hubby was off to do shopping.

In 1928, somewhere in South Dakota, a baby boy was born to our Great Uncle Dick (Arthur W. Foulk) and his wife Bernice.(Mildred Bernice Robbins) Bernice was used in census records.

This morning that baby boy went home again. 6 August 2016. We laid his wife (Dolly) to rest a little over two months ago. Her going home on 6 June, 2016.

We have one sibling left on this side with us yet.

Knowing Ken from the time I was about 14 and his father living with us. He (Ken) served in Korea and when he came home, of course, he came to see his Dad.  He went to work driving Greyhound Bus for his career.  He went to Wyoming and married his bride, brought her back to meet us.

They lived in an apartment in San Francisco, CA for some time and then finally moved into a home.

Finally settling near Aunt Ruth and Uncle Fred Feil 's area in Santa Clara County.  (Mom's sis)

They had three beautiful children. I stayed with her when last child was born and he was on long hauls with bus system.  They became like older brother and sister to me.  I had babysat for them when needed after I had moved in with my Aunt and Uncle in Sunnyvale, Ca 1959.

My husbands' holding their daughter was a first for Fred. (Never held a baby before)

He was my Dad's Ray Dee Jones Sr, first cousin, my second cousin, but the ages are so different.
One line was born in one end of scale the other line on the other meeting somewhere in the middle.
Dad was old enough to be his father, but they had a awesome relationship.

Our children are close in age.  Though our children are not close,  they are only loosing touch after marriages and moving to start their own lives.  Which is sad and I did not want to see happen.

Kenneth D.  Foulk, born in Brookings, South Dakota, grew up in Greybull, Wyoming mostly. But lost his mother (Bernice)  Mildred B. Robbins while young.  I have a picture of her funeral DAD gave me.  She is  not in the next census.

The siblings I knew were : Lowletta,  ( his sis m Mr Paddock),  Ken, next born, Keith , and Klint.

I met all of these and we visited different ones over time.  I remember hearing stories about Gertude {(7) in 1930}, an older sister whom died.  Can not find the information in Mom's genealogy, she had it at one time.

Ken's Grandfather was Harvey E Foulk and Margaret Mae Eastman Foulk was his Grandmother.

Ken's Dad lived with us in the 1950's early and then went to live with his daughter Lowletta Paddock in Oregon, where he died.

Ken and Dolly (LuLu) Foulk had three children: Steven, Stuart and Silvia.  They will miss their parents very much as will our family.  The children are scattered about the USA.  They had grandchildren and great grandchildren if my papers are correct.

We still have a Great Aunt alive in Greybull, Wyoming. Uncle Herbert's wife Leona.  God Bless them all.
