Noel JONES born 1835 Massachussett's according to census. This young man lived until some time in the 1850's. Or maybe he was left behind and did not want to go west. Family said he died in accident prior to family moving west to Illinois and then on to Iowa.
Anyone who can find data on him we would love to learn more. I checked the counties in Mass near Vt and NY and church records, some newspaper data.
While doing this I was also looking for marriage records of Noyes and Susan Madison Jones.
Her children listed her as being born in VT., NY., MASS. Obviously they did not know.
Having recently learned she was born in VT. but awaiting more confirmation. Her maiden name was Mattison.

William Harrison JONES b 1841 Rensselaer Co. New York Died 31 Dec 1862. Stone's River Battle, Tennessee. I have his CW records and have not transcribed them into the computer at this time. He may have married the day before they left Illinois. The family had no knowledge of this happening or at least never mentioned it. He is buried out side of Nashville, Tenn in a Military Cemetery.
He was very close to his brother, my ancestor and Great Grandfather. Calvin Fay Jones.
