JONES KiN ==== Some many years ago , Dad's cousin found us.

Many years back Donald Jones came to visit us with his wife. The line DAD had looked for for eons. Many weekends we would crawl into the truck and go slowly down the road reading the mail box names lookin for JONES. WE met many but we never found his Uncle or his cousins. Lots of really nice people though. See Dad's family split when they were very young. But he remembered visiting his cousins a couple of times. they lived in Iowa then. They went to visit them. Once when a cousin was very mean to his own sibling and thought it was very funny. Showing off to these new family members. It did not set well with Dad or his younger brother. Which helped for them to look for our side. Years later as adults both sides looked for their family that they lost in divorce and in anger. (Adults) Both boys remembered different stories and would tell us children with much sadness in thier voices. Luckily the cousin that came to visit was not the down line of the so unruly child of one of my Great Uncles. That was also sad because they did not know why they left Iowa and came to CA. Thankfully our Uncle Gerald was able to share the story of the events that caused the rift. One was our Grandad and his brother were racing horse and horse and buggy to the house. Going over the cattle guard one fell off the buggy and it broke his back. The other boy helped him to get to the house but his back was broken from the Cattle Guard on the bridge. The other incident before that was the visiting of the other brother and one of his family children doing something so sad I won't say what it was. But it was very painful and bodily harming. That child his wife told us carried the scars to his death. NO IDEA what ever possess children to do this type of thing. Fortunately the son with broken back shared a store with that brother and when things got worse they left Iowa and came to California. The brother our Grandfather went to WYOMING to live with cousins. They remained friends as best they could though of massive distance back then. Wife of cousin seriously injured said he forgave that other brother when they grew up. Since it was a family internal event it did not involve our side. Not the horse racing brother he stayed friends. To this day I can not remember which was on horse and whih was on buggy. LaMnte or Carl F. Great Uncle of ours and our Grandad. The other incident was when they were much younger and had traveled back to Iowa to see family. The boy when he grew up spent years looking for Uncle Gerald and Dad as I & Uncle Gerald was told by cousin's wife of, to say Thanks for what you did for me. It was implied that the one boy had serious consultations and forgave that brother his bodily harm. They actually lived together in later life. Sadly I did not get to meet him, I did meet the wife whom shared much with us here. The 2 boys were in a Adult home for the aged at that point. The boy with broken back lived in California and died a much younger death due to hardship and body discomfort from back being broken. He was decesed before DAD started to look for him sadly. Yesterday I located the photo Don and Flora took and sent us to share with family I will poat it here. IF I can figure how. Having commmunicated with the family of these people. Thankfully they overcame the worst and kept some communication. My brother went to a reunion for the kin in CA not far from him. Cousin Don and his exteneded family from Great Uncle Lamonte have had reunions I was hoping to attend but brother made one at least. Ray Dee Jones Jr is brother. He still lives closer to them than I. I married a serviceman and we are settled in San Diego, CA. Yes Don Jones was Lamonte's last born child and the thrill when family was found I can not tell you the feeling. God was good. I know that Lamonte Jones had children and their names. I was told some of the grand chidlren were Highway Patrol men that actually covered area where we lived in Sonoma Marin Co. I have talked to several of the descendants and would truly love to meet them in person before life ends. The same applies to those left in Iowa. What a great friendly caring group of cousins they have been in writing and talking. I want to go see The LITTLE BTOWN CHURCH in The Dale. That GGrandfather founded. So sad Cousin Charles Jones died before I got to meet him. I do talk to his daughters. Yes we can claim that story as fact. O yes we have a few of them in MINN and maybe Dakota's not yet found. Luckily one lived near in Fallbrook and we have shared times together she is now in AZ. IF any of this story sounds familiar and you are part of this family please get in touch with me. Dad would so loved to have known you. Susi Jones Pentico.. Dad was Ray Dee Jones Sr his Dad was Carl Fremont Jones his Dad was Calvin Fay Jones and Hannah Young Jones. Nashua Ia area. His father was Noyes Jones and Susan Madison Jones from NY to ILL to IA.

Our American Beginnings Everyone is Forgetting

The first oppressed people were the Indians that greeted us and helped us to survive. Still today they are not given the recognition they deserve and yes some did not deserve much recognition. Our Negroid race are fabulous people. But for reperations they need to seek it from Hollandd or Netherlands. They are the ones who bought those as slaves and sent them all over to make money and to cut back on the internal fighting that was upsetting their goals. In Africa, I do not think many have studied our past history especially of the world. WE do not owe the black??? enslaved people the Netherlands did it they owe us all something. Those who were shipped here were truly saved from a slavery they did not even precive . We in turned saved them from what those left behind has had to survive to live through. Many tribes did not survive these major upheavels in Africa. I read the paper today and they still are squabbling instead of attempting to work together and change everyones lives there. Amazing how beautiful this place must have been. Granted after early people bought slaves some were very mean and ugly but many were not mean or ugly. They were taken care of far better than those left behind. DO SOME HOMEWORK. Another thing is very few of us if any, are not not of a form of a mixed race. Formost I am an American but of many past descendants. Have you studied history? Do you realize how many countries the first people's kin migrated through and how the family changed constantly. Do you have any idea how many centuries we are have been hanging around? Have you done your CRI Genetics and learned more about your past, not your names but heritage? The last two thousand years has been semi well recorded. I have lived long enough to say massive major changes. Hurray the Negroid race has been recognized. The Indians still on Reservations and told what they can or can not do. Todays news said Negroid people were being recognized shame on them as journalists they did not do their homework Remebering if they, Indians hadn't helped the early Europeans we may not have survived to today. I can say I am proud to be part of many nations in my past including 3 tribes at least of Indians. I still have one I am looking for in Indian heritage. I am who I am and you are who you allowed yourselves to be. No one can make you be different. I know many well recived people that heritage came out of Africa. Most all can succeed if they try hard and our fellow man steps up and realizes we are all human beings. So far we have not found a a Martian or Venusian or other out of this world people here. All can move forward if they have manners, and earn others respect and do unto others as you wish done onto you. Having read the records of how Teague JONES was treated by the Mayflower people and then the Judge pardoned him for his deeds done which Judge said was appropriate due to the methods treated by them. Many quickly went to Rhode Island and north to Novia Scotia. We have a very mixed past and no one was perfect. Enjoy reading the National Geographic Magazine, The Archeology Magazine, Many books in History Section of Various Libraries throughout the USA. History abouds all about us. You have to keep your ears open and your eyes to see what is really around you. Not just what you perceive. I could not decide if I wanted Archeology or Teacher or Write as I graduated from HIgh School. I never took my finger off the three of them. Data talked about above was located in various books over eons of my lifetime. My latest read was The American Heritage Book of Indians, Dell Publishing Co. Inc., Copyrighted 1961 by American Heritage Publishing Co., Inc. 9th printing 1974. Reread: Without Indentures: Index to White Slave Children in Colonial Court Records. (Maryland and Virginia) Richard Hayes Phillips, Ph. D., Copyright 2013. Genealogical Publishing Company Much in the first book seems to not fit what we are being told today,. there are several pages regarding one of our ancestors, Alas we need to write our own stories as we go because the ground seems to change as time moves through. WE have many Doctors, Lawyers, Congresmen, Judges, writers, Teachers, etc. that come from this early group of people. Most that were sent to slavery away from Africa were leaders in their regions and were threats to the less successful tribes or groups, Yes they were intelligent and smart, So stop selling them short or yourself. But this happened in many other areas also.

May the Force be with you.

Starting now, wow. Government is discussing loss of SS benefits. Do not like news anymore. It seems hurt and pain is on a major rise. So have you checked SS records for ancestors information? Have you looked at State records, covering events, places and o those in needbeing saved. Did you realize our ancestors had to build the road in front of their property, so long ago. They also as community built later gave water ttheir bridges and homes many and most times from scratch. They had to maintain them also. Was upset the other day, our government did not want people to fix things to save time and money or sounded like we were not to care. Just charge more, more and more. When young I was a Volunteer Firefighter. Our neighbors barn was on fire. He was at the other end of barn milking cows. Dad was running to the barn to save him and the cows. I was banging on the house door for family to wake up. We passed water buckets and Ultimately we saved most of the cows, the house and lost the barn and corral. When young we learned a shovel and dirt could slow down fire, sometimes better than water. Living in a country envirionment we learned we may be the next in need, whether it was a sudden broken bone, cut hand or leg etc. Sometimes it was just flu or twisted ankle or older age. One learns if someone is in need you step up best you can. We as Americans should remember that from our experiences from WW 2 ON.s Worse a later War brought much unhappy feelings. Thinking our country has not gotten over it even yet. We are blessed, our neighbors are caring. Our community has changed much over the years. I apply much of what I have seen in my neighborhood to how I feel families worked and shared and communicated in days of old. Remember no phone, no tv, some radio and later movies that at half time showed clips of our war. We need to think of our youth and how things were to help us resolve some of our Genealogical issues. Hoping this insight may help your researching in smaller communities even larger ones.

Blessed Greetings to All

May this holiday give you blessings no matter of what faith. May we all learn to live together and enjoy others thoughts and ideas.

Sharing Other Blog Page Today. >>> Ancestor Seekers by the Root Bound

Time to Think of How We Think. I found a saying on Facebook written by ??? but it struck a chord with me. Time to Think of How We Think. On- Webpage, Ancestor Seekers by the Root Bound. Susi's Quarter Susi's Quarter Published • Apr 8 I trust you will go there and read what I wrote. Hoping it will help us all realize we are one people on this earth. We have no opened concrete data if people are other places in the UNIVERSE. My parents taught me to respect all people. Thankfully because DNA shows we have a very distant relationship attaached to many old world groups. Understanding why Dad and his Jewish friend used to tease DAD he had to be part Jewish the way he haggled. Yes he won sometimes also. Yup we are. I hope Dad has met many of our past kin. The DNA makes life far more interesting. We need to let go of some thoughts on ability to welcome more of our truly enlarged families that we do have. OOO I am sure it grates on many and makes others say OOO NOOO. But you can take the royalty of Europe, where many lines crossed and shared and got out of hand at times. You will learn much studying Ancient History. If you are just starting research, it is enough to just sometimes find an immediately family member. It gets more intense with the third and 4th generatios of reseach. Those being your Grandparents or Great Grandparents. Being blessed with a Grandfather whose family had much data known and perserved and saved, it was a great help but still the Cedar River, went over it's banks in Iowa and much data was waterlogged and taken to the dump. WORD of ADVISE if WET FREEZE IT. I have tried with small document to see if it would work it did. NOW whether you have boxes full that is probably another matter. Cousin used hair dryer on some. Called me as he was preparing to take the last batch to the dump. Would love to have society have someone from Archives give us more knowledge on this process. The entire USA has had intense weather and flooding and I am sure many of genealogists and learning to be Genealogists would love to get this type of information for saving their data. We on Mom's side were blessed they kept the family story, at least one of them pretty well intack. Going to start writing the stories Grandad Cecil Leroy Hoffman, used to tell us everytime we went back to Wyo to see family. He would take my two other cousins & I , both male, 1 older one younger than I. Line us up on hay bailer and tell us the same story over and over for years. Alas I am the last of the three left. But that one story proved true when I was helping another person with their research. I am tracking two more stories one is really interesting but not gaining any ground. This was on his wife, our Grandma Inez Mar SCott's side of the family. Do you have old stories you can track and see if true? Do you have memorabilia that leaves you wonder what it was for or why your family has it? Many times you do not need to leave your home to start your research the questions are on the shelves in the drawers or Picture Albums. Jewelry boxes or Glove boxes used for the few pieces of jewelery they have as Inez did hers. I have the glove box Sis has the jewelery item. Same color as her birthmonth stone. Sometimes pictures give clues to past heritage, some times old passed down letters or tapestry embroderied gives you clues I hope this helps you to open your mind to your heritage and background and not be afraid of whom we have been and whom we have become. Thanks for listening. This is my Easter Gift to you all.
