TRYING AGAIN.===WHEATLAND, WYOMING 1900 TO CURRENT.

YESTERDAY, I started and saved a major blog post to be read. Today It has gone away not to be found. Sorta odd. The post you read I wrote for a year ago spring when everything stopped. I will regenerate a post current to our topics and get it up soon. Wheatland, Wyoming you are on the hot seat. Never really realized what was there yet I knew it mentally just didn't think of it. I have toured the court house and seen my parents Marriage application and approval. Uncle Dick took me to the court house. William Richard Hoffman, ' My family and a great deal of it lived and moved in and out of Wheatland, Wyo for many years. I still have cousins there and Uncle Dick's wife. I am sure I have other cousins there that when Dad died I did not follow up on. I know the Drews' moved away. Uncle Gerald saw two of the boys in Denver area eons ago. I suspect they are all gone. I spoke with Ducima Drew about 30 + years ago. Looking for information on the HULSE, KINNAMON'S, SETTELS. BARTLETT IS FAMILY NAME ALSO. BEATTY, FOLK, FOULK, FEIL, EASTMAN, HOFFMAN, JONES, KERNS, LAWRENCE, MUSSELMAN, SCOTT, SCRANTON, PARRISH, and others. Dad died in 1995 in Santa Rosa, CA. Ray Dee Jones Sr, Mom died several years later. She was at home in Valley Ford, Ca and the property was sold. Dorothy Inez Hoffman Jones. That part of my genealogy is missing on computer have to pull out her Obit. Back up drive died while in Michigan some years back. All of this started because cousin in Wheatland called me to ask about the Dr Huffman that lived Wheatland in the 1920's and maybe later. The older generation talked but could not find clues but thought they could be related. Hoffman and Huffman in many instances is same line. Old Germany only had Hoffman. But when spoken to Englishman it had a UUUU sound so after about 1880 UU shows in their records of people going back . SusiCP1@gmail.com. 2022 February So much to say, so little time. 17 Feb 1978 was husband's day for retiring from the military. United States Navy more than 25 years employed. His birthday is coming in March he was born in 1935. He grew up in farming communities in Iowa. He played football in high school and drove the school bus for everyone to get to school for a period of time. He graduated from Woodward High School. He enlisted in the Navy not long after graduation. He went to join the Air Force but that person had gone to lunch and he was asked by the Navy Recruiter if he wanted to try the Navy. His brother had just been drafted so he said yes. The rest is history. He has had many exciting adventures. Been invovled in many intriguing events. He worked with and knew some of the more talked about Pilots of VietNeim area. He was Sailor of the Quarter and Sailor of the Year for the West Coast. He was a Boy Scout Leader for his sons troop with other servicemen as they rotated in and out for duty. We have an Eagle Scout and a Life Scout. The boys loved the Scouting. He designed tools that saved the Navy money and was given a small stipend. The father of five children 3 boys and 2 girls. Brother to two sisters *both now deceased" and 1 brother. One sister lived with us, her last 7 years. His Mother lived with us after his Dad died and she could no longer live alone. She is also deceased. He had my Mom live with us and get back on her feet after some health issues for several months and wanted her to stay with us when she decided to go home. He is a member of the FRA and has held offices in the orgainization. He has supported our children through good and rough spots both. He still supports our children and grandchildren when he feels he can assist them or advise them for ideas. He looks with great joy when his grandchildren come to visit and delights in the visiting of his great grand children 2 girls and 1 boy. More to add tomorrow.
