52 Weeks in Genealogy, Roger EASTMAN and kin

My Great Grandmother Margaret Mae Eastman Foulk Archer was my Grand mother's MOM. Alas the government in shipment lost all our shared letters in 1967 when we went to HI.  Grrrrrrr.

I wrote to her from the time I was about 8 years old. It was a practice in our home to write our family because we lived so far away from them.  We stopped writing, when she died in January of 1958 the year I graduated high school.

Sometimes I can remember things she wrote about other times I so long for those letters that talked about her family.  I do have pictures of her both younger and older. She did marry twice. Her first husband disappeared when selling grain to Russia and supposedly went with grain to Seattle to make sure it made the ship. GGrandfather Harvey Edward Foulk is another story.

She was born 6 October 1874 BlackHawk Co. IA. Her death was 23 Jan 1958 in Washburn, Blackhawk Co. IA.  She is buried in Washburn, IA.  Downline descendants live in the house today and we write often.
